High-Yield Steel Alloys & Precision Robotic Welding
Traditional cantilever racks relied heavily on standard structural steel with bulky, inconsistent hand-welded gusset plates. HEDA leverages high-tensile Q355B micro-alloyed steel, which provides significantly greater yield strength per pound. Combined with six-axis robotic welding cells, our column-to-base and arm-to-bracket welds achieve homogeneous penetration, eliminating localized stress risers and thermal deformation.
Modular Boltless Arm Safety Connections
Historical cantilever arm installation required cumbersome horizontal through-bolting that slowed assembly and weakened column webs over time. Our latest designs incorporate multi-lug tapered locking pins and pivoting impact-absorbing shear brackets. If a forklift operator accidentally strikes an arm during an upward hoist stroke, the arm pivots upward safely without transferring destructive bending moments into the vertical column.
Advanced Duplex Anti-Corrosion Finishing
For aggressive outdoor storage yards, salt-spray coastal environments, and chemical processing facilities, HEDA provides advanced duplex protection: hot-dip galvanizing per ASTM A123 followed by thermosetting electrostatic powder coating. This dual-barrier defense eliminates rust creep and provides over 25 years of outdoor service life with minimal maintenance overhead.
