Cold-Formed Q235B vs. Standard Structural Steels
Industrial pallet racks operate under severe multi-axial stress states, including dead loads from static pallets, impact forces during forklift placement, and lateral seismic shearing. At our manufacturing facility, cold-rolled continuous roll forming is utilized to induce work-hardening into structural Q235B carbon steel. This increases yield strength up to 235-345 MPa while retaining sufficient elongation properties to absorb impact energy without brittle failure.
Beam-to-column connector brackets feature integral multi-claw locks that seat snugly under gravity loads. This connection stiffness prevents beam rotation and eliminates deflection risks beyond the strict L/200 standard (span length divided by 200). Surface treatment undergoes a full 10-stage preconditioning regime: alkaline degreasing, acid pickling to eliminate mill scale, zinc phosphate conversion for inter-crystalline bonding, and an automated electrostatic polyester epoxy powder coating cured at 200°C.
